ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a no-scar person on anything fiction. I think a librarian drilled into my head that dog-earing was a no-no when I was little. In fact, I think we were fined for dog-eared books. So I'm always mildly horrified when I see people do it. :D
But when it comes to non-fiction, anything goes!! I guess that librarian never lent me non-fiction!
I love making little notes in the margins and underlining bits I like. It's funny to read back on the notes too. It's almost like reading old journal entries, because I'm instantly brought back to where I was at in my life and why I wrote them.
And as for cookbooks? You can flip through mine and see which recipes are popular in this house. Those pages are pretty much splattered and abused.
